As part of the DocuMondays series Powerful Voices, watch Kateřina Turečková's film Illusion for free at DAFilms on Monday, April 5, and enjoy also the interview between the director and Ivana Formanová, the manager of KineDok.
Illusion presents an unusual concept of film as a video game. The author presents a personal report from Budapest, where she spent a year on a study stay. The spectator becomes a player and goes through the individual levels of the game, which are based on ordinary, everyday actions. The film points to the problems of contemporary Hungarian society.
Documentarist Kateřina Turečková studies documentary production at FAMU (Prague). She currently collaborates with non-profit organizations and shoots documentary miniatures from her own life. Her film Mastery is part of the Institute of Documentary Film's workshop Ex Oriente Film.
The film with English subtitles will be available for free after registration till 23:59 CET on Monday 5th of April 2021 here.
