In the Romanian village of Lunguletu, 1 000 farmers on their tractors sit on 100 000 tons of cabbage in the local market, waiting for customers. At the end of the day they either sell for nothing or destroy their crops. Intrigued of getting 1 ton of cabbage for just EUR 20, townie Serban decides to spend one year in the village, work the land and find out, if there is any way out of this deadlock. The Mayor and some villagers have ideas and possible solutions. But can they overcome their fear of a collective farming? A satire of current realities in agricultural Europe narrated by the director himself, the film tells from the inside and in a self-ironical tone the story of a village that got stuck in between past and present.
