On 2 November, KineDok presents a special screening of the documentary Death of Death, taking place simultaneously at five screening venues across the Czech Republic, including Sektor 9 in Prague.
The main event will take place at the Purkrabství venue in Prague’s Vyšehrad, where the screening will be followed by a moderated discussion with the film’s producer Radim Procházka and scientist Jan Pačes.
A recording of the discussion will be published on 3 November on the Institute of Documentary Film’s YouTube channel and will be available to watch free of charge.
By attending the event, visitors give permission to have their person photographed and audiovisually recorded for the promotional purposes of the KineDok project.

The essayistic documentary by director Dāvis Sīmanis explores not only the contemporary “market for eternal life” but also humanity’s deep-seated desire to transcend mortality. The film raises the question of whether the pursuit of immortality represents a real step toward human liberation or simply another way to cope with the inevitability of death.
