On 2 November, join us for a screening of the documentary Death of Death, presented as part of a special KineDok event connecting five screening venues across the Czech Republic, including Klementinka Community Centre, which will screen the film earlier, at 5:00 PM at the cemetery in Havelský Park in Mladá Boleslav.
By attending the event, visitors give permission to have their person photographed and audiovisually recorded for the promotional purposes of the KineDok project.
Death of Death
The essayistic documentary by director Dāvis Sīmanis explores not only the contemporary “market for eternal life” but also humanity’s deep-seated desire to transcend mortality. The film raises the question of whether the pursuit of immortality represents a real step toward human liberation or simply another way to cope with the inevitability of death.
