VR - Out of Nowhere

We are organising a special evening dedicated to virtual reality and its potential for film, art and storytelling, in collaboration with Viola Ježková, who will guide us through the evening.

Thirteen guests from different generations and areas of culture – including film, theatre, visual arts, literature and cultural management – will experience the ten-minute VR film Out of Nowhere by Austrian director Kris Hofmann, which premiered at the Venice International Film Festival in 2025. The discussion afterwards will focus on the personal experience of VR, the possibilities of this form of storytelling, and its potential as a relatively new medium.

The location was not chosen by chance. During the devastating floods of 2002, Kampa became one of Prague’s iconic sites where the immense power of water could be experienced first-hand.
