From Monday, October 26 to Thursday, October 29, KineDok’s traditional partner meeting takes place in Jihlava, bringing together partners from all five countries. We will talk about how the network works, what we have achieved and what could be better. We will also look at KineDok’s plans for 2028 to 2030 and select from the nominated VR films.
Czechia will be represented by project manager Juliana Moska and project coordinator Walter Nagy. You can meet them, for example, at the afternoon industry program on October 27 and 28. If you would like to meet them, please contact them in advance at moska@dokweb.net and nagy@dokweb.net.
If you would like to meet representatives of the other KineDok countries, you can find their contacts at kinedok.net/about-us. Just change the country you need in the top right corner.

KineDok is a project of the Institute of Documentary Film, so we invite everyone with an Industry accreditation to a special talk within the industry program. Together with us, the Association of Producers in Audiovision (APA) will present the Study on the State of Czech Documentary Film. It maps the opportunities and challenges of documentary filmmaking ahead of the transformation to the State Audiovisual Fund. Splitting public support into two pillars has given Czech producers new options, but also new challenges.
The presentation will include a vision for the future direction of Czech documentary filmmaking, formulated by the producers of APA’s documentary section. A discussion with television representatives and the director of the State Audiovisual Fund follows. It will focus on financing, development and production of documentary projects, public support, the relationship between producers and broadcasters, and the place of documentary in television content strategies.
The talk takes place on Tuesday, October 27, from 2:30 PM to 4 PM at the Industry Hub, on the Small Stage of the Horácké Theatre (Komenského 24), as part of the block Czech Documentary in Transition: Working Conditions, Financing and the Future. The guests are representatives of television and the State Audiovisual Fund, including our board member Ivana Pauerová Miloševič. The discussion is moderated by Zdeněk Blaha (former IDF program director) and Jitka Kotrlová.
At the same time, 13 films that went through the activities of the Institute of Documentary Film are also premiering at the festival. Don’t miss them! You can find more about them here.
