KineDok’s online season is back! From October 2025 until March 2026, you can enjoy six thought-provoking documentaries online, completely free of charge. Each film will be accompanied by an international discussion with filmmakers or experts, diving deeper into the themes the films bring to the screen.

Together with our partner countries (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Croatia, and Hungary), we’ve curated a line-up of some of the most engaging documentaries from recent years – offering stories that open conversations about politics, identity, society, and history. All events are available to audiences across all KineDok partner countries.

All films will be accessible on our website on the dates listed below. To watch for free, simply request your voucher by writing to films@kinedok.net during the film’s availability period.

The discussions (in English) take place on Mondays at 7 PM (GMT+1) and can be streamed via our YouTube channel (@instituteofdocumentaryfilm7825) or KineDok International’s Facebook page.

OCTOBER: Byeway (Ivo Bystřičan, 2014, Czechia, 75 mins)

A documentary about the never-ending construction of the D8 highway meant to connect Prague with Germany. Instead, it split the landscape and society—becoming a symbol of state dysfunction, legal disputes, and local frustration.

NOVEMBER: 66 Seasons (Peter Kerekes, 2003, Slovakia, Czech Republic, 80 mins)

JANUARY: A Silent Story (Anders Skovbjerg Jepsen, 2023, Denmark, Sweden, 88 mins)

A man unravels his trauma and seeks answers from a childhood friend who sexually abused him. This autobiographical film captures his complicated, long journey for closure as he confronts the past.

FEBRUARY: BLIX NOT BOMBS (Greta Stocklassa, 2023, Czech Republic, Germany, Sweden, 85 mins)
