Center for Architecture and Metropolitan Planning

Praha

We are interested in the future of Prague. We want to improve the public debate on the development of our city. We are an essential source of clear and accessible information about the capital. Our goal is to serve as an open platform, a "base camp" for anyone interested in the joint planning and functioning of Prague. At CAMP we an exhibition hall with a unique 25-metre projection screen, a study room with a large selection of publications on architecture, urbanism and design, a café with an outdoor terrace, and a lecture hall with a diverse programme comprising public discussions, appearances by domestic and foreign experts, workshops, film screenings, art workshops for children, and other activities. We manage the map application "Prague Tomorrow?", which provides an overview of construction projects in Prague — from the first ideas through projects in the phase of preparation to those already being built on construction sites. We blog about how the face of our city is changing, and feature interviews with those who have a say in what it will look like in 20 years’ time. We select tips for walks through Prague and trips to contemporary buildings and look for ways to get to know architecture and cities better. We are part of the Prague Institute of Planning and Development (IPR Prague).
