The Prague City Hall and the Faculty of Arts of Charles University are aiming to build a campus that is unparalleled: linking creativity, art and the academic world in the very center of the city. This is the vision of the university for the 21 century. A university of the 21st century must build upon the natural diversity of human cultures, languages, temperaments, and social groups, emphasizing the individual and proving that massive cultural impact on the community need not translate into mass culture. Its mission is above all else to cultivate the natural human instinct, teach so as to reflect as yet unformulated inquiries and satisfy curiosity, to understand and treat every question as equally worthy of being answered.
