The pervasive spirit of the Cabinet of Muses space was first revealed to the city in 1991 under the leadership of J. A. Pitínský and Arnošt Goldflam, when the HaDivadlo took up residence there. At the beginning of the new millennium, it was replaced for a few years by the Theatre at 7 and a Half, but after its departure, the Cabinet of Muses remained closed for an extended period of time. It reopened to the public in 2012, since when it has been continuously on the cultural map of Brno. Since its reopening, it has offered a programme of music, theatre, film club and other activities that transcend genres of individual cultural sectors outside of mainstream culture.
