KineDok is launching its new season in the Czech Republic with a special evening combining a film screening, a discussion, and an in-person meeting with the guests. The programme will begin on 18 June at 6 PM at Vila Štvanice with accompanying activities and light refreshments. Before the screening, there will be a discussion dedicated to the film Wishing on a Star, documentary filmmaking, and the themes explored in the film. The guests will be Slovak director and producer Peter Kerekes, one of the prominent figures of contemporary documentary cinema, and actress, voice actress, dubbing director and therapist Kateřina Petrová. The discussion will be moderated by KineDok project manager Juliana Moska and KineDok coordinator Walter Nagy. The screening of Wishing on a Star, which premiered at the Venice International Film Festival, will follow at 7 PM. Admission to the event is free and the event is co-organised with the Bel Paese Italian language school. Unfortunately, this evening is not English friendly.
By attending the event, visitors give permission to have their person photographed and audiovisually recorded for the promotional purposes of the KineDok project.
