Filmed over the course of ten years, Alice On & Off tells the story of Alice, a young mother who, at 16, falls in love with Dorian, a man 35 years older than her. Despite giving birth to their son, Aristo, and marrying Dorian, Alice finds herself overwhelmed by the responsibilities of motherhood and the scars of her own neglected childhood. Struggling to balance her dreams with the demands of her family, Alice faces a devastating choice to leave both Dorian and Aristo behind. As she fights through feelings of isolation and substance abuse, Alice turns to painting as an outlet, rediscovering love and connection. A powerful portrait of trauma, generational cycles, and the battle for self-identity, Alice On & Off captures the painful and transformative journey of a young woman trying to find herself amidst loss and love.
