Imaginary Youth follows the lives of three teenagers during their final years of high school, before, during, and after the Covid lockdowns. Una, an actress from an activist family, dreams of studying in Berlin, while Habet, a rapper from a poor neighborhood, plans to make it big in London. Stefania, a passionate environmental activist, wants to escape Romania and continue her education abroad. However, the pandemic forces each of them to confront their future in unexpected ways. As their personal dreams collide with the reality of the world around them, they must navigate pressures from family, society, and their own aspirations. A coming-of-age documentary, Imaginary Youth captures the struggles, dreams, and uncertainties of youth in a world forever changed by the pandemic.
