We've selected two more award-winning documentaries, which we've made available to you online for free on our VOD until December 3. This time it's a poetic essay about the changing Bratislava Lines and a documentary about the largest pawnshop in southern Poland The Pawnshop.

LINES (Barbora Sliepková, 2021, Slovakia)

How is the city Bratislava changing? In her documentary essay, director Barbora Sliepková captures the local urban growth, where the poetics of everyday life and portraits of local inhabitants present a socially critical account of the city's contemporary transformations.

THE PAWNSHOP (Łukasz Kowalski, 2022, Poland)

Jola and Wiesiek, an extraordinary couple, run the biggest pawnshop in the south of Poland. Profitable in the past, today the business only generates loses. To save it, they decide to organize a grand spring sale.

In addition to the planned online screenings of films from our existing catalogue, we have decided to expand our VOD with brand new documentaries. Each month two selected films will be available for free online, the plan for the next months is as follows:

  • December 18 - 31, 2023

  • January 22 - February 4, 2023

  • February 19 - March 3, 2024

  • March 18 - 31, 2024

We will not release specific films until that month, so keep an eye on our communication channels to make sure you don't miss anything.
