COIFF

We are a newly established travelling festival focusing on film production. Our goal is to organize each edition in a different region and bring film and regional culture to one place that has its own genius loci. That's why we choose places that are not well known outside the cultural centres, in order to motivate visitors to discover the region. Among other things, every year we establish cooperation with regional companies and service providers to give them the space to present their products or services linked to the region in which the event is held. Each edition will have its own theme, which we will take into account in the selection of films, the accompanying programme, the visual identity of the edition and, last but not least, the festival theme. The contribution of the COIFF is to rediscover the interest of the region's inhabitants in filmmaking, to broaden their horizons in the field of cinema that is outside the so-called mainstream; to support and raise the profile of local filmmakers and companies; and to enhance the cultural scene. Culture has an enormous impact on mental health and the state of society, but its importance has been neglected since the beginning of the second decade of the 21st century. With our travelling festival, we hope to leave a cultural footprint in each region and help to restart regional cultural activity.
