Palatul Culturii Bistrița

The "Palace of Culture" is the main building of the "George Coșbuc" Municipal Cultural Center and the current name of a recently restored 19th-century heritage landmark, which serves as the main venue for cultural events in the city of Bistrița - ranging from contemporary dance performances, music of all genres and theater, to festivals (such as the "The Poetry is in Bistrița" Festival, now in its 17th edition), conferences, or book launches. The public institution housed in this remarkable building, originally constructed by the Saxon craftsmen's association - Gewerbeverein - runs cultural projects and permanent seasons of music, theater, visual and performing arts, funded by the municipal budget. In the field of cinema, in addition to the annual KineDok documentary film season, it also organizes the Pasaje International Film Festival.
