Join us for an unforgettable evening of science and fun! 💃 🎤 We kick off at 19:00 with the traditional moderated debate Ask a Scientist! This time Lenka Vrtišková Nejezchlebová will be asking your questions to six scientists from different fields. 🧐 Which superheroes live in the animal kingdom? Why do apples turn brown and oil turn rancid in the air? Can our cells cope with radiation? What movement will most improve our cognitive abilities? Can we slow climate change? And how does science view sexual orientation? These and many other questions will be answered by zoologist Ondřej Fišer, analytical chemist Kristýna Kantnerová, nuclear physicist Ondřej Kořistka, exercise and motor development expert Adam Provazník, food chemist Tereza Pavlíčková and ethologist Jakub Fořt. 🎥 And that's not all! At 21:30 we will screen a documentary I Miss You, Marius!. Through a public dissection of animals, the film gets to the difficult issues of animal euthanasia and reveals the relationship between humans and nature and how this relationship has changed over the generations. 🎟️ Admission 150,- in advance on GoOut: https://goout.net/cs/vecer-s-vedou/szpwnhx/, 200,- on site.
By attending the event, visitors give permission to have their person photographed and audiovisually recorded for the promotional purposes of the KineDok project.
Why is it sometimes useful to put down a healthy animal? And to what extent is it good to show children science? A humanistic film linked to the death of a young giraffe reveals the relationship between humans and nature, and above all the conflict between science and ethics. The film is available from May 1, 2023.
