Photophobia

Nikita is twelve years old when his parents wake him up in the morning. He thinks he overslept for school, but not today. He quickly packs his things and then, along with his whole family, moves indefinitely to the underground of Kharkiv. There is a sense of sadness and loss all around, but the hopeful eyes of children don't give up. Shortly after arriving, Nikita meets Vika, befriends her, and they start spending all their time together, giving them something to look forward to again. Together, they explore the spaces of the subway and also the faces of people, whether those present there or those they find in old film photos. They search for the happiness that war has taken from them.
